Description:
The Inn is one of Newburyport's real treasures. Located just 35 miles north of Boston, this historic seaport town was home to the famous clipper ships. Many were built on the shores right down the street from the inn. We have opened this beautiful complex of guest houses year around to visitors staying a few days, weeks or months in the seacoast area. We offer some of Newburyport’s most charming yet inexpensive guest lodging and extended stay options. Our accommodations are cozy, casual and friendly to families, and, we might add, friendly to your pocketbook. Guests can choose from furnished apartments with fully equipped kitchens, or B&B style rooms.
We offer vacation travelers a unique experience. Each of our apartments and condos is tucked away in one of six historic, colonial-period homes just steps from the waterfront. Ship captains, merchants and shipwrights built these special homes in the 18th century. The houses still have many original features, moldings, wainscoting, wide pine floors and fireplaces.
Each apartment has its own fully equipped kitchen, large living room and one or two bedrooms. For convenience, we provide private phones, cable TV, Internet access and such essentials as cribs and comfortable pullout sofas.
The inn is conveniently located near great boating, whale watching, bird watching and shopping opportunities. You will be a five-minute walk from the downtown area, the waterfront park, the Firehouse Center, the Custom House, unique shops, galleries, coffeehouses, bistros and many excellent restaurants. The boardwalk and marina are just down the street! The Parker River Wild Life Refuge, the new Audubon Nature Center, ocean beaches and the New Hampshire and Maine coasts are minutes by car. Express trains and buses go to Boston hourly. You'll always enjoy your time in Newburyport Massachusetts!
To save you money, we offer housekeeping as an option. Breakfast is not included, as each apartment suite has its own kitchen. You may reserve by the night, week or month. When you arrive the only thing you need is a suitcase! We take care of the rest!
Summer prices for one-bedroom units (sleep four comfortably) range from $155 per night to $930 per week. The two bedroom units range in price from $275 to $300 per night. Discounts may apply. Please ask.
