We finally found the track up to the cottage via a cow paddock. The track is virtually a four-wheel drive affair up a steep ridge. The second cottage is further up. Definitely not for a city car. The place was clean, but quite basic with only the bare essentials in the cottage. The area around the cottage was quite bare and surrounded by an electric fence. There was nothing for two small boys to do outside, as the hillside was steep, the grass providing a place for black snakes. They moved the caretaker out in order to let us in. The smaller cottage looks nicer, but I don't know what the interior is like. The overnight stay was not worth the $130 paid. Biggenden B&B was 200% better for $120 a night.
