Description:
Lochside cottages are two newly converted stonebuilt farm outbuildings which offer high quality modern facilities in a truly picturesque and tranquil environment. The cottages have views of loch Voil, the Braes of Balquhidder and meadows of grazing sheep.
The main farmhouse dates back to the times of Bonnie Prince Charlie and there are records of an extension to the original building in 1750.
The northern part of the Dairy cottage is on maps made in 1730 and the building was used as a working milking shed up until 1974. The Stable cottage dates back to about 1850 and was originally used to house peat ponies and latterly working Clydesdale horses.
