Description:
A warm welcome awaits you by Dinah and Rodney Gifford at Little Orchard in the historic town of Glastonbury.
We are situated on the A361 Glastonbury to Shepton Mallet road on the lower slopes of Glastonbury Tor with panoramic views overlooking the Vale of Avalon. We look forward to meeting you.

We offer a varied breakfast menu - choose between traditional English, vegetarian or continental with tea and coffee. We use local produce wherever possible and we cater for those with special diets. Homemade preserves and apple juice are available in season. There are numerous good pubs and restaurants in Glastonbury and the surrounding area. We will always be pleased to give you directions or help you in whatever way we can to make your stay with us enjoyable.

Our house is dated pre 1940 with a stained glass window in the staircase which is typical of that period. The single rooms have views up to the Tor and all the other bedrooms have panoramic countryside views over The Vale of Avalon and beyond. They are spacious, light, comfortably furnished and centrally heated with tea & coffee making facilities. With the exception of one single room, all have wash basins. There are two separate shower rooms, toilets and a bathroom. The roomy television lounge leads out on to the sun terrace and large garden where guests can sit and enjoy the views.

The single rooms have views up to the Tor and all the other bedrooms have panoramic countryside views over the Vale of Avalon and beyond. They are spacious, light, comfortably furnished and centrally heated with tea and coffee making facilities. The Isle of Avalon is famous throughout the world as the birthplace of Christianity in Britain and for its links with King Arthur. Visitors from all corners of the earth have visited its Abbey ruins and climbed the Tor. The view from the top is breathtaking ! In more recent years, Glastonbury has become a centre for healing using natural sources.

The B&B is located in a fantastic place, just outside Glastonbury town centre. The house and room were clean and well appointed. Staff were very friendly and breakfast was great. Highly recommended.

I went for a short break with my 14 year old daughter, The location was perfect, far enough from the centre of town to be quiet but close enough to walk in and perfect for climbing the Tor being literally on the lower slopes. Dinah couldn't have been more helpful. She is a truly genuine person and I would recommend her to anyone.
