Description:
Our charming, family-run 14th Century Hotel sits in the 'Forgotten Corner of Cornwall'. It awaits you, your family & friends, and your pets! We are situated in 8 acres of quiet private grounds providing extensive views over to Dartmoor. The Coastal Path and beautiful beaches are just a few minutes walk away and Plymouth is within half an hours drive.
Cots and highchairs are available on request for the youngest in your family and for adventurous youngsters an outdoor playground awaits. Our children's license allows all the family to eat and drink together. We also have two beautiful, well equipped Self-Catering Suites for those wishing for a longer stay. Each morning our Bed and Breakfast guests will be served with a full English breakfast to set them up for the day ahead.
We all love a good wedding and here at The Liscawn we like to offer a very personal, flexible service to cater for your most memorable day. We are situated ina beautiful setting in the countryside with magnificent views over to Dartmoor - perfect as a backdrop for your reception drinks and photographs. We also cater for private celebrations such as Anniversaries, Birthdays and Christenings and of course Christmas parties and Business functions.
We are only a short drive from the many attractions of the city of Plymouth and the county of Devon. Plymouth invites you to wander the narrow historic streets of the Barbican, enjoy the best of live theatre at the Theatre Royal and be amazed at the National Marine Aquarium. Devon offers the majestic tors of Dartmoor to walk, dozens of National Trust properties to visit and hundreds of places to see. The nearby picturesque coastal villages of Kingsand, Cawsand, Looe and Polperro beckon you to walk their narrow streets and savour the sea views. Closer still, Mount Edgcumbe with its hundreds of acres of landscaped gardens overlooking Plymouth Sound and Cawsand Bay will appeal to you, your children and your pets. Within an hours drive the world famous Eden Project sits deep within an old Cornish China Clay pit and further west the 'Lost Gardens of Heligan' wait to be found.
