Originally a 15th century malthouse, Karslake House is named after Sir John Karslake, a prominent Victorian Lawyer and Member of Parliament. Nestling in the wooded hills of Exmoor, Karslake stands in an ideal location for exploring the North and South Devon coasts.

ABOUT US: We are Nick and Juliette Mountford who have been at Karslake since 2000 and spent the last seven years restoring the building to make it feel like home to all of our guests who visit us.

THE AREA: We are situated right in the heart of Exmoor. Ideal for walking or pony trekking along the rolling moorland. We can arrange fishing or clay pigeon shooting.

WHAT WE OFFER: We are a Guest House. We have 6 double bedrooms
and are rated by the AA as 4 yellow stars for outstanding hospitality and 1 Rosette for culinary excellence. You are assured of peace and quiet. We do not put phones in the bedrooms and mobile phones do not work in this area. We do not take children under the age of 12.
