the swing city hotel is a good base for central budapest. basic but clean and friendly people, who did everything to help on my first visit to hungary. 150 m, to the danube river and it's flat, good for my 75 year young mother who cant walk too far.
loads of trams passing the door going all over budapest.
two banks with ATM within 50m. internet cafe over the road, and a spar shop open late.
the only downside was no exchange for scottish money, and the gogo & lap dancing bar next door,
i will be going back to budapest in june and will be staying at the swing city hotel
one returning customer...

Excellent Hotel! We were a bit dubious by the hotel neghbours!! and the name of the hotel!!
Small but well maintained hotel! Room was large with wardrobe, mini-bar, dressing table, bed side tables and luggage table, so plenty of space for clothes etc...shower room was well kept...heated towel rail...hairdryer, soap etc
Breakfast was the same each day except they served one hot item between 7.30+9.30am! Otherwise there's cereal, bread for toasting, meats, fruits and yoghurts...
Didnt use the gym or sauna etc so cant comment there...
Great position, as the tramway stops straight outside...and easy to get to the airport from as one block up is the underground...which is very handy!!
Hotel staff very helpul with regards to getting around!
Didnt use hotel restaurant! Spar shop across the road...Its about a 10min walk to the river danube and the central market hall is about 20-25mins walk away,....
