Description:
Holmlands Country House was built as a country retreat for a Glasgow industrialist in 1903 to enjoy the pure air, sport and scenery of the Clyde Valley, at Crawford. The structure and size of the house and garden are from the gracious Edwardian era, although the house has been decorated and equipped to provide the facilities required for modern day living.

The house sits in an acre of land surrounded by the rolling hills of the Clyde Valley. Guests can relax in the garden created on two levels separated by an extensive rockery.

The lounge is spacious with an open fire and a bay window looking onto the lawn. The dining room looks over the garden towards the River Clyde. At the base of the hills opposite are Bronze age settlement mounds approximately four thousand years old.

A dinner menu is available to guests and consists of three courses with vegetarian alternatives if required. There is no smoking in the bedrooms or the dining room.
