Description:
Holmbush House is a Grade II listed Georgian Country House originating in Tudor times. It is set in nearly three acres of grounds with many specimen trees and shrubs including ancient Sweet Chestnut trees.
There are two oak beamed halls with large inglenook fireplaces, one hall is oak panelled. The gardens include five lawns and a terrace overlooking the Cuckmere Valley and the South Downs.
For a peaceful week-end in the country, a golfing trip, a relaxing nights sleep on a business trip, just visiting the many local attractions or as a stopover point on your way to the cross channel ferry port of Newhaven, Holmbush House provides excellent accommodation with ample parking in the private grounds.
The bedrooms are en-suite with comfortable new ‘king-size’ or twin 3 foot beds, Colour TV and Tea/Coffee making facilities. Full English breakfast is served.
We offer you an intimate environment with personal attention at all times and to help make your stay more enjoyable, we will try to satisfy any other requirements, such as chauffeuring (especially for those visiting the Opera at Glyndebourne or Eastbourne Tennis) and making reservations in local pubs or restaurants.
We are unable to accommodate pets and in the interest of other guests (and safety), Holmbush House is a non-smoking establishment.
Holmbush House and its beautiful grounds are also available exclusively as a venue for Corporate or Social functions and celebrations, for Weddings with a ceremony and reception in one of the oak beamed halls (licensed for all civil ceremonies), we can offer the perfect, exclusive service to suit your requirements.
