Welcome to Hokianga Blue, the home of sea kayaking tours and kayak hire on the Hokianga Harbour in Northland, New Zealand. We are based in Rawene, South Hokianga, and offer guided sea kayak tours and freedom kayak hire in the Hokianga Harbour.
Kayak through the historic waterways and mangrove forests of this picturesque harbour. Enjoy the history of one of the earliest settled areas of New Zealand.

Also offering newly completed studio accommodation in Rawene, with ensuite bathroom, kitchenette and private deck overlooking the harbour. Hokianga Blue offers newly completed separate studio accommodation at Rawene, overlooking the vast expanse of the picturesque Hokianga Harbour.

Designed with a couple in mind, there is a plush queensize bed, ensuite bathroom and kitchenette. However, an extra single bed can be made up on request. The studio has its own private deck and views out over the harbour.

Breakfast is included in the tariff, and other meals are available by arrangement. There are also a number of restaurants, bars and cafes within easy walking distance. We have safe offstreet parking for your vehicle while you explore the area and its history by foot or kayak. We are also motorcycle/pushbike friendly, and offer safe locked garage parking for your bikes. You are also welcome to use our workshop for any bike maintenance which may need doing on your travels.
