Description:
A homely welcome awaits in our modern detached rural bungalow, which is situated on the south facing slope of Kit Hill, with far-reaching views across the Tamar valley towards Dartmoor and Plymouth. Relax in the Sun Lounge as you enjoy the spectacular views with evening sunsets. All bedrooms have colour television, hospitality tray, ample storage space, and all have either en-suite or private bathroom facilities.

Externally there is substantial off-road parking within our our own grounds. Watch the fun and games of the ducks, geese and chickens, or maybe just take relaxing stroll around the five acre field. We do not offer evening meals, but there is a wide choice of olde worlde inns offering refreshments and superb cuisine in the surrounding towns and villages.

For a special evening we suggest Langmans Restaurant in Callington. We are located on the A390 between Gunnislake and Callington, approximately 1 mile (1.5km) from Callington town centre. We are clearly signed on the left as you approach Callington from Tavistock and Gunnislake, with Kit Hill on the right.

Days out can be as varied as you wish. We are less than an hour's drive from the North and South Cornwall and Devon Coasts, Dartmoor, Bodmin Moor, and the Eden Project.

Nearby are the National Trust properties at Cotehele, Buckland Abbey, Lanhydrock and Antony, the recently restored gardens at Endsleigh House, and the historic market towns of Launceston, Tavistock, Liskeard and Saltash. The Tamar valley contains a rich variety of natural landscape and the heritage of tin, copper and arsenic mining.

The Victorian port at Morwellham Quay offers a glimpse of life in the valley during the industrial heyday of the nineteenth century. Plymouth with its busy Naval dockyard, historic Barbican, ferry port, shopping centre, Theatre Royal, cinemas and leisure facilities, is only a short drive away, or can be reached by bus from Callington, or by train from Gunnislake on one of the most scenic railway lines in England.
