Description:
There are many excellent reasons for choosing Grange-over-Sands as your weekend or holiday venue at any time of the year. Graythwaite Manor is one of them. Graythwaite was started by the Blakemore family in 1937 and quickly became a special and much loved hotel to which faithful guests have
returned year after year.
It has now passed into the enthusiastic and caring ownership of Mrs Jane Duncan and her husband Jim, who are committed to making Graythwaite into one of the finest and most unique hotels in the country. Some of the original family are still involved in its day-to-day running, and a warm welcome and personal care and attention are our constant aim
as much today as it was in its early days.
We are particularly proud of our award-winning gardens which have won Cumbria in Bloom Best Hotel Category in 2006, 2004 and 1998.
Graythwaite Manor is well noted for its excellent cuisine, the head chef working closely with the proprietors to ensure the highest standards. However you spend your day you can look forward to a four-course dinner, a choice of carefully prepared dishes and just the right wine from our
extensive cellar.
We use fresh local produce as far as possible and include produce from our own garden when available. Among a wide variety we usually include a traditional plain English roast with all the proper trimmings, as well as a choice of other imaginative and delicious dishes.
