Description:
Good River Bed & Breakfast is located in Gustavus, Alaska - gateway to Glacier Bay National Park. The B&B is a spacious three-story log house of Sitka spruce with classic dovetail corners, maple hardwood floor, wood beams, hand-made tiles and many hand-crafted touches to delight you. Original paintings by Alaskan artists grace the walls, and hand-made patchwork quilts are on every bed.
Four guest bedrooms share two full bathrooms, with shower and claw foot bathtub. Guests can relax and browse through the library, write letters in the comfortable sitting room, stroll in the garden, look at the root cellar, play the harpsichord, indulge in a game of badminton, or take one of the free bikes and explore.
Our accomodations include one rustic log cabin nestled in the woods, the "honeymoon cabin", furnished with everything you might need for self-catering. Rustic refers to the fact that there is no running water; an outhouse is situated close by, and jugs of water are stocked for your use.
It has a wood heating stove, a propane cooking burner and electricity (for lights, coffee pot, toaster, etc.) It's quiet, private and cozy. Cabin guests are welcome to use the tub or shower in the house.
