Description:
This traditionally built Lakeland-stone Victorian house sits in its own gardens and is backed by Mill Beck and Sheriffs Wood. It is situated a short walk from both the centre of Windermere and Bowness at the heart of the English Lake District.
The atmosphere is relaxed and tranquil. The house was built in 1888 as a Victorian gentleman's residence, on entry you will be immediately aware that Glenville still holds a lot of its original character. The beautiful pitch-pine entrance door with it's original stained glass sets the scene for the remainder of the house. We have our own private car park in the grounds.
A warm and friendly welcome awaits all our guests into Glenville House from Rachel & Paul.
We now have 4 Superior rooms and 2 Deluxe rooms, one of which is situated on the ground floor overlooking the front garden.
The rooms are recently refurbished are comfortable and well equipped.
A freshly cooked breakfast made from local produce will set you up for the days activities.
Please do not hessitate to contact us if you require any further information.
Please note we have a totally non smoking policy.
We are looking forward to meeting you.
