Description:
Ghyll Bank House can sleep 16 plus 2 cots or can be divided into two, Ghyll Bank Fell and Ghyll Bank Hillside.
Ghyll Bank Fell has 3 bedrooms,one double & single with en-suite bathroom, one double & single, one downstairs double with vanity unit. There is a shower room with shower, toilet, bidet & basin. The lounge is very large, 26' x 18', with doors opening onto a patio. The lounge has an open fire, colour TV and video. There is a lovely pine kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, cooker, fridge/freezer and open plan dining room.
Ghyll Bank Hillside has 4 bedrooms, two doubles, one twin and one with 3ft bunk beds. There is a bathroom and shower room plus a ground floor toilet. The large lounge has seating for 8, colour TV, video and wood burning stove. The dining room has a large oak table seating 8 and a dresser. There is a lovely pine kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, cooker & fridge/freezer.
Ghyll Bank Bungalow sleeps 3 in two bedrooms, a double and a single. There is a bathroom, open plan lounge, dining room and pine kitchen complete with cooker, microwave and fridge/freezer.
All properties have BBQs, garden furniture and plenty of parking. There is a shared laundry room. Electricity is by £1 meters, and linen can be hired by arrangement.
The water supply comes from a private spring, is treated and tested by Environmental Health to ensure conformation with all health regulations. Well behaved pets are welcome.
Ghyll Bank is set on a hillside in peaceful countryside in the Lake District National Park. There are stunning views of the Lakeland hills and distant coastline.
The village of Staveley is a mile away. In the village there are three inns, a post office, butchers, chemist, newsagent, bakers, general store, restaurant, fish & chip shop and cycle hire. A 10 minute drive will take you to Windermere with its spectacular scenery, where one can cruise, sail or row on the lake, visit the Steamboat Museum and marvel at the indoor exhibition World of Beatrix Potter. Kendal is also a 10 minute drive away. Here you will find a fascinating mix of olde world architecture with narrow ginnels and the ruins of Kendal Castle. There is also a climbing wall, leisure centre and many pubs and restaurants.
There are many historic villages, houses and castles closeby that are well worth a visit - Levens Hall, Holker Hall, Sizergh Castle, Townend. There are also many walks in open countryside to be enjoyed.

This was in the self catering bungalow Ghyl, Staveley as Garnett house is no longer available for accommodation, The bungalow was warm & cosy with terrific views. was a slight problem with the snow being on top of a steep hill!
