Whatever your reason for visiting Birmingham, you cannot choose a better base for your stay than The Gables. We are a privately owned hotel in a quiet part of Birmingham, far enough from the centre to ensure a peaceful stay, yet close to all of the major international centres which have made our City sojustly famous, both for commerce and for entertainment. Historic Stratford and Warwick, Shakespeare country, are within easy reach. We are very easy to get to either by road, rail or air from Birmingham International Airport, the motorway network (M5, M6, and M42) and the City Centre (long-distance coach and rail links).
The Hotel has 19 bedrooms; doubles, twins and singles and three family rooms, which can accommodate up to four people. All our rooms have en-suite facilities, television and equipment for making tea and coffee. A full English breakfast, or something lighter if you prefer, is included in the price of your room.
As well as the bistro menu we offer a select a la carte choice in the warm and friendly atmosphere of our beautiful restaurant where we pride ourselves on the freshness and quality of our ingredients and the care and style in which we cook and serve them. Our resident chef will be delighted todiscuss menu variations with you; Vegetarian and dietary requirements catered for. Enjoyed breakfast and bed comfortable but the decor was pretty poor. I don't think the hotel had been decorated for 20 years.

Staff very friendly. Breakfast fine.
Room clean but needs modernisation - ceiling paper coming off, mould on the shower grout. Also woken up by overflowing drain outside the bedroom window.

The staff were helpful and friendly. There was an issue regarding access to the hotel after the door was locked at 12pm but this was resolved to my satisfaction.
