Guests are charmed by the romance of a bygone time in the theater and silver screen, housed in a lovingly restored home built in 1823; just minutes from the Massachusetts and Connecticut border in Hillsdale, New York. When was the last time you had breakfast with Charlie Chaplin, Mae West, John Wayne, James Dean, Laurel & Hardy, Betty Boop, Ethel Barrymore or Wallace Berry.
Special thanks goes to Margie's mother, Marjorie Kowalski, who as a young woman living on Long Island, New York, gathered a treasure of photos, many personally autographed, of stage and screen stars dating back to the 1920's. Margie and Dick dug into the boxes of her mother's hoard and came up with hundreds of photos, clippings, scrapbooks, old sheet music and life-size-cut-outs of stars that once stood in theater lobbies to promote movies. Thus, the name Flickers - an old slang name for movies - the flicks.
