Description:
Built in 1833, Fletcher House is a delightful double fronted Grade II listed building right in the centre of the fascinating and historic market town of Kirkby Stephen. It is situated in the stunning and unspoilt Upper Eden Valley, near to the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales and the beautiful County Durham. There are many enjoyable walks right from the door, either around the historic sites in the town or into the countryside.

To match the fine-looking exterior of the house, the interior is a revelation of delightful and original features. From arched windows to deep architraving, from coloured coving to delicately sculpted moulding around warming fireplaces - Fletcher House offers you a welcome typical of the Eden Valley area.

All of our bedrooms have tea and coffee trays, colour televisions and a hairdryer. We even provide wine glasses for those guests who enjoy wine when relaxing. All our rooms have en-suite with shower, wc and basin and a separate bathroom is available for those wanting to have a bath. We operate a No Smoking policy throughout Fletcher House.

Kirkby Stephen is set in one of the most beautiful places in the entire UK. It offers so many attractions and its location in the Eden Valley, near the Lake District and next door to the Yorkshire Dales, allow it to draw on an unusually extensive range of sights and places to visit.

There are many lovely walks in Kirkby Stephen and the surrounding areas. Stenkrith Park is just a short walk away where from the Millennium Bridge you can experience the spectacular views of whirlpools and rapids below as the river passes through a rocky gorge. The footpath takes you onto a mile of disused railway path over several magnificent viaducts and back to Kirkby Stephen through the charming village of Hartley.
