Description:
Botany Farm House is ancient, hidden away down a country track, surrounded by a rampant garden. There are no neighbours just woods and fields. The interior is as original as possible but still comfortable and we do have modern plumbing and heating! The house has very thick cob walls and small paned windows .The whole house is very cottagey and atmospheric with varnished floors, lots of rugs, lots of brick and beams, rosy wallpaper, patchwork quilts, black and brass beds and chintzy curtains.

There are two double bedrooms (one of which has a single bed) both with an en-suite shower room. Each room has a window that looks out over the garden and surrounding country side, there is a separate dining room and a large beamed private guest sitting room with piano to play, piles of magazines to read, a television and a wood burning stove that warms the room in winter. Botany Farm House lives up to its name, overflowing with plants and flowers .The atmosphere is cosy and informal.

We always provide a large breakfast in the mornings, which includes things like, fruit salads, some days tropical, some day's dried fruit nuts and seeds or some days compotes made from fruit from our own garden. Every day we do one special thing like bubble and squeak made with Italian black kale or spinach or purple sprouting broccoli or whatever is growing in the garden, green herby potato cakes , sweetcorn fritters, Etc. Tomatoes always come baked with olive oil and thyme.

We do still serve good quality bacon and speciality sausages for the carnivores amongst you. After breakfast many of our visitors don't need lunch.

Find Wareham, take the main road westwards towards Dorchester, 1 mile west of Wareham turn south onto the B3070. Over the railway and river and across open heathland for about two miles until the road becomes a tunnel of trees, turn right down the track to Botany Farm House.
