Description:
A warm welcome now awaits you at the de Morgan family home, Ethie Castle. An ancient sandstone fortress dating from the 14th Century, Ethie is reputed to be Scotland's second oldest permanently inhabited castle. It was immortalised by Sir Walter Scott as 'Knockwinnoch' in the novel 'The Antiquary'. Ethie is now a haven of hospitality and peace. Situated in Scotland's kitchen garden all produce used at Ethie is of the freshest and highest standard. Who can resist a famous Arbroath Smokie for breakfast?

Each visitor is an individual guest in our home and each bedroom is unique with a homely feel. One room has a superking bed, private bathroom and its own sitting room with views over the garden; another is a cozy room overlooking the courtyard with a 1920s art deco bathroom, we also have a four poster bedroom with luxury en suite bath and shower room.

We are situated on Scotland's East coast, north of Dundee, Carnoustie, and Arbroath. We are within easy driving distance of the beautiful Angus Glens, where you can see eagles, buzzards, deer and some of the most striking scenery in Scotland.
