This is picture postcard Scotland. The area offers good touring on the quiet roads around Cowal & Bute. Trips out the glen are ideal for exploring Loch Lomond, Inveraray, Dunoon, Tighnabruaich and the Isle of Bute. Boat and bike hire available nearby.The Estate and golf course hugs the shoreline at the north end of Loch Goil, a fjord type sea loch. You can sit on the hotel patio enjoying a drink or meal and watching the boats on the loch. This is a seriously relaxing location. Should you be looking for something a bit more energetic, there is plenty to do. Choose from a number of marked walking trails starting just minutes from the hotel or in the village which take you onto the hills and tracks. The views are well worth the effort.

November to March: Curling rink.

Surrounding the hotel is a range of tastefully developed self catering lodges.
There are two restaurants and two bars to choose from. Disco every Friday and a dinner dances & party night every Saturday (except July & August). You will find family type entertainment on other nights at peak holiday times.
Rooms: Choice of 4-poster, double, twin and single bedded rooms, all en-suite with a showers, baths & WC. There is two parts to the hotel these being an original building as well as a new wing.
Rates: Same all year round (except Christmas & New Year). £45 per person per night dinner, bed & breakfast including golf and swimming. Sunday to Thursday. £110 per person Friday & Saturday for a minimum of a 2 night stay.
Rooms are non-smoking. We will accept a dog with a £5 per night charge in some rooms.

From Glasgow follow the A82 Loch Lomond road to Tarbet, continue on the A83 to the top of the Rest and be Thankful. Follow A83 to the top of the Rest and be Thankful where The Drimsynie Estate and Lochgoilhead are signposted. Turn left on to the B828 which becomes the B839. On approaching the village The Drimsynie Estate is signposted. The entrance is the 1st on the right. Follow the driveway by the golf course to reception.
