Description:
Located on crystal clear Doe Lake, our cottage resort is only minutes north of Huntsville, 4 kilometers south of Burk’s Falls and a pleasurable 2 ½ hours drive from Toronto. We are conveniently placed in the middle of a large leisure and recreation area with major tourist attractions within easy reach. Several provincial parks, including Algonquin Park and Arrowhead Park as well as numerous golf courses are close by.
To the west there is Parry Sound and Georgian Bay with excellent boat trips and water plane excursions while locally there are many sites and artisans worth a visit. If you can’t take it in all at once, consider our Multiple Stay Program that is specially designed for frequent visitors and offers great value!
Our housekeeping cottages are nestled in a private surrounding of over 86 acres and away from any public traffic. Peaceful tranquility and a relaxing atmosphere are guaranteed! We are proud of our outstandingly clean, spacious cottages with cathedral ceilings which all are overlooking Doe Lake. The spotless guest rooms in the Main Cottage offer modern but comfortable accommodation.
The all-natural sandy beach is rare to find along the shores of Little Doe Lake, but we have perhaps the longest stretch of sandy beach at our resort. The shallow shoreline caters well to families with small children, giving parents a peace of mind. This is our greatest asset, in the minds of many of our guests.
Our outstandingly clean and spacious 2 and 3 bedroom cottages with cathedral ceilings are all facing south and overlooking pristine Doe Lake. They are carpeted and fully equipped for housekeeping with kitchen range, fridge and freezer, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, dishes, glassware, cutlery, pots and pans. A roomy 3 or 4 piece bathroom adds to your personal well-being. Each cottage has its own lawn area with a picnic table, a gas BBQ (propane provided) and an outdoor clothes line to dry the clothes.
Whether you are cuddling up in front of the wood burning stove or are sitting at the dining table, you can enjoy a magnificent view of Doe Lake out the large windows in each cottage.
