Description:
A very warm welcome always awaits you at Devonia guest house, where Sue and Roy Gapper have been providing top class accommodation for over 20 years. Nestling in the luxurious coastal resort of Lyme Bay, situated on the world heratige site; The Jurassic coast, The beach is less than 5 minutes walk from Devonia, and is ideally suited to meet the requirements of the holidaymaker, the tourist, or as a base for walkers. We can also offer a luggage transfer within a 20 mile radius at local taxi rates for walkers only. We also offer a pick-up and drop-off service if required from our local train station at Axminster.
We are proud to be registered with the English Tourism Council who have awarded us the 'Four Star' rating in recognition of our continually high standards. From the front, you can look over Lyme Bay, right across to Portland Bill, shown below, and from the rear of the house you can enjoy lovely woodland views.
You are free to come and go whenever you please, there are no restrictions on access to your room. There is also large private, off-road parking with secure lighting for all guests beside the house.
We are famous for our comprehensive breakfast menu which always includes a vegetarian option. Although, we do not provide evening meals, there are several excellent restaurants in Lyme within strolling distance of Devonia.
Devonia is less than 1/4 mile from the start of the Wessex Ridgeway and only 1/2 mile from the South West Coast Path, which passes through some of the finest, unspoiled coastal countryside in the south of England and takes in most of the 'Jurassic Coast', which in 2002 was accredited as a natural site of international importance.
