A most excellent serviced and newly decorated small country hotel in a quaint remote spot south of the A27 at Chichester. Note the car park is gravel and I parked in the waste bins area for some hard-core to get out onto my wheelchair. Even then I had to push through some gravel to get to reception but there’s an outside button to automatically open the door into reception.
I found room no.7 inadequate for wheelchair use but ok for the one-night stay. The public disabled loo is a preferable option. Room no.3 I believe is better for wheelchair space and is the one to ask for.
The bar & lounge area is very cosy for pre-dinner drinks while the dining is absolute superb value. We had the 3-course set dinner at £23.50 and each course was magnificent, a real culinary experience. A-la-carte menu also available. At £115 for the double 4-poster bed including breakfast, plus the views across the summer patio & fields were a delight first thing the next morning.
This hotel is value for money a

Alterations at the hotel made access a little difficult at times but was made up for by the excellent food. We will certainly visit again.

Our room was very comfortable. The hospitality was of a very high standard. The restaurant was elegant the service attentive and the Sunday meal was very enjoyable indeed. We would definitely stay there again. It is also dog friendly and our Bichion enjoyed her stay as well. Thank you Crouchers Bottom, hope to see you again soon. "HIGHLY RECOMMENDED"
