Description:
The Creole Gardens Guesthouse comprises two 1849 historic mansions and a two story servants' quarters, centered on a lovely banana courtyard and fountain. Each of our 26 individually decorated rooms offers air conditioning, television, free high speed internet and private baths (ensuite). Our Manse (main mansion) houses our dining room, kitchen, sitting room, and four guest rooms, including a huge private honeymoon apartment with private balcony overlooking the New Orleans skyline. Our Manse rooms all have huge bathrooms with both showers as well as clawfoot tubs. Our Bordello Mansion, located next door to the Main Mansion, pays homage to to the wanton pleasures that were Storyville -- New Orleans' legalized red light district that flourished around the turn of the last century. The Bordello Mansion boasts 7 rooms that were individually decorated with the ambiance of Storyville and named after a famous madame of the period. All rooms feature brand new deluxe queen sized canopy or four posted beds, (one room has king size), hardwood floors, high ceilings, hand sewn bedding and drapes and beaucoups eccentric flourishes everywhere. Our 14 'Dependency' or Servants' Quarters rooms are completely renovated and individually deocrated in creative themes. We are conveniently located in the Lower Garden District -- less than a 5 minute drive to the French Quarter or a short walk to area museums and other major attractions.
