Description:
In the 1930's Dr. Lawrence Robrock built a country home, called Creekwood, in the woods outside Michigan City, Indiana. Today, Owner Mary Lou Linnen has refurbished his home, and welcomes guests to the Creekwood Inn.
Nestled amidst 30 acres of walnut, oak and pine trees, near a fork in Willow Creek, the Inn offers a gracious haven for city dwellers in search of a weekday or weekend getaway. The pace is slower here, the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, yet the facilities and services are impeccable. From the soft, oversized towels in your bathroom to the mint beside your bed, you can expect first-class treatment.
Creekwood Inn is ideally located for exploring the southeastern shore of Lake Michigan; It is near both the Indiana Dunes State Park and the Warren Dunes State Park. The grounds are laced with trails for hiking or cross-country skiing. Looking for a really unique site just 60 miles from Chicago. In the last eight years we have had guests from thirty -six states and four countries.
Elegant guest rooms are located in a modern wing that more than doubles the size of the original home, while retaining the English Cottage flavor of the architecture. Each of the 13 large air-conditioned guest rooms has a distinctive décor. Some are warmed by fireplaces, other have French doors that open onto private terraces. They are comfortably furnished in a medley of traditional styles.
