Description:
The centrepiece of the building is a magnificent staircase, spiralling up to the roof. Arched doors open on to the paved rear garden where the fountain plays and roses and lavender and herbs scent the air.
The bedrooms have been transformed into ultra chic Italian style dens with deep dark colours, huge, very comfortable beds and many stylish touches.
Few brochures quite capture the spirit of a place: Cotswold House's is one exception. It [reveals] a tantalising glimpse of what to expect behind the impressive colonnaded entrance of the 19th century wool merchant's house whether you go for a cosy cottage or a sumptuous suite (with hot tubs in private gardens!), you'll find stylishness and contemporary colour, cashmere throws on giant-sized beds, TVs in bathrooms and tubs for two, fresh coffee percolators, top of the range entertainment systems, remote controls to fine tune your viewing and listening pleasure even a bedding menu.
Downstairs, relax in red leather armchairs in the bar and dine - extremely well - in one of the two restaurants: one elegant, one informal. Outside, two acres of walled garden with tumbling borders and secluded spots
