I've tried 3 B&Bs in the Christchurch area and this is the best and the best value. Light, airy cosy annexe, excellent shower, comfortable bed and charming and hospitabl hosts. This was my fifth stay and I'll be back.

Last minute search to find rooms available to visit our son who had moved nearby, found this little gem. We stayed in the large annex, which was lovely and quiet and was very handy as I had to come in late one night and didn't have to disturb anyone. We received a warm and friendly welcome and the owners were very flexible. If you stay there, try and guess which chicken lays the blue egg!. By the way, nothing average about our breakfasts. We'll definately be back!

I stayed in a lovely family annex at the rear of the garage with a pleasant garden view. The breakfast was served in the main house which was like a conservatory, sunny and refreshing for the morning. The proprietors were very welcoming and friendly and helpful with knowledge of the Bournemouth area. I will definately return there, mainly as I have family nearby, but if you are holidaying it is an ideal location for touring the area. The room had a very comfortable double bed and a futon/settee plus a z bed if you wanted it. The shower room had the little extras including shower gel & soap, etc. There was ample wardrobe and drawer space for a longer stay, I stayed a weekend, there's also a mini fridge. The TV had freeview channels, it was nice not to have to worry about waking fellow guests by having the annex accommodation. There are also local pubs in walking distance which serve nice food. The only slight negative I have to highlight is the driveway, is a bit awkward to park in

The Family room was a very good size with proper beds for our children rather than camp beds. The food was very good and we recieved a warm welcome. It was very good value for money and we will definiatley be visiting again in the very near future. The location is close to Mudeford, Higcliffe Castle and Bournemouth. I would recommend the Colmar to anyone.

We chose Colmar because they took dogs. The accomodation was an annex, which was ideal for us, as we didn't have to go through the house.
