Over the past year the old Chequers Hotel has been totally transformed into a luxurious, yet comfortable hotel. We have recently achieved some amazing accolades. Chequers Plaza Hotel is the only 3 Star rated hotel situated on Queens Promenade, Blackpool. After extensive investment of over £800,000.00 to date, totally modernising the exterior of the hotel and incorporating the former Tralee Hotel, upgrading the foyer / reception area, the bar and sun lounge, and refurbishment of the Hawtrey Restaurant .
Out of over 1500 hotels in Blackpool we are the fourth one to be 3 star rated. Since then we have achieved several other outstanding awards. In January this year we were awarded the “Investors In People Award” which shows our dedication to our colleagues training and development. We were also awarded the “Hotel of the Year Award GOLD AWARD WINNER in February 2006.
The hotel has a very friendly atmosphere, superb cuisine, cleanliness. We come regularly to this hotel. Couldn’t be beaten.All of our bedrooms have recently been refurbished to a very high standard.Our tastefully decorated sun lounge is the perfect place to sit and relax with friends, family and colleagues.Enjoy the scenic views of Queens Promenade and the Irish Sea.

We were very pleased with our choice. Comfortable, welcoming and the food was very good. We did find it over warm in our room though so had to have the window open.

Lovely location.
Helpful staff, and excellent breakfast.
Had trouble with hot water to start, but was offered another room & maintainance straight away (but fixed it). Also a radiator didn't work, so we got bit cold, they gave us an excellent plug in one- really lovely hotel.
Will be staying there again.
FYI- They offer NHS discounts!

VERY PLESANT AND HELPFUL STAFF, THE HOTEL IS A LITTLE WEARY AND CREAKY IN PLACES BUT IS VERY CLEAN, THE OLD ADAGE YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR APPLIES,BREAKFAST WAS VERY GOOD AS WAS DINNER AT £12 -50 PER HEAD.
