Description:
Welcome to Castle Cottage, the setting for a luxurious and peaceful stay. The cottage stands within the grounds of 'Coates Castle', a Strawberry Hill gothic mansion, and is surrounded by ancient woodland. Situated in the countryside between the town of Petworth and the South Downs, 'Castle Cottage' is within easy reach of Goodwood, Cowdray Park and the towns of Midhurst, Arundel and Chichester.
The double room is decorated in restful colours and the large comfortable bed has fine cotton sheets. Double doors open onto the balcony, which overlooks the garden and is perfect for viewing the stars at night.The Barn - A double or family room with a private sitting room. A beautiful spiral staircase takes you up to a double bedroom decorated in restful soft blues with a little balcony giving views to the garden. The marble bathroom has a double glazed glass roof. The spacious full height sitting room is flooded with light with views over to woodland. A top quality sofa bed provides comforatble sleeping for an extra two if necessary.
The Tree House - Built into a huge sweet chestnut tree on the edge of a wood, a substantial staircase leads you up to the luxurious accommodation. This is a thatched room with a double bed set between the tree branches and looking out through large glass doors to the tree tops. It has an en-suite shower room bathed in light from the glass roof and covered hand made mosaic tiles. A large balcony with swing seats and a private sauna makes for a very special experience.All rooms have double beds with fine cotton sheets, tea and coffee making facilities with homemade biscuits, TV and hairdryer. The en-suite bath/shower rooms have soft fluffy towels and hand made soaps.
The memorable breakfasts, either English or Continental, are made of the finest ingredients: free range eggs, home made preserves, good coffee and tea and can be taken in the garden during good weather, or in the delightful conservatory with its stone walls and brick floor.We are ideally situated for visitors wishing to attend racing at Goodwood and polo at Cowdray Park.
