Cary Fitzpaine is a Georgian Manor Farmhouse set in two acres of beautiful gardens on a 600 acre mixed farm of Arable, Sheep and Horses. Plus various pets. The house is the main house in a tiny hamlet comprising of six cottages and a post box. Life is recorded here in the Doomsday Book and it is very peaceful and tranquil.
Cary Fitzpaine is approxomately 4 miles from Somerton and 8 miles from Yeovil. We are only 1½ miles from the A303 and ½ mile from the A37. It is an excellent base for viewing National Trust properties with Lytes Cary, Barrington Court, Tintinhull, Stourhead and Montacute within easy reach. Plus many other private houses and gardens open to the public nearby. The Fleet Arm Museum at Yeovilton is 5 minutes away and the Haynes Car Museum 10 minutes away.
All our rooms are furnished and decorated to a very high standard and have en-suite or private facilities complete with an excellent selection of toiletries and towels.All rooms also have TV/radio and coffee making facilities. We have a large four-poster bedroom/suite available.We also have a very spacious, well-equipped, self-catering cottage available.
