Description:
Cartref is Aberdovey's only 4 Star Guest House. It underwent a full renovation in spring 2008. The result is a charming Edwardian house with period character whilst the bedrooms offer all the contempory accesories that you would expect to find.
All bedrooms are ensuite with flat screen digital TV/Radio, duck down duvet (in winter) with crispy white linen and fluffy white towels, bottled mineral water and a tea/coffee tray.
All of the en suites have spacious walk in showers, heated towel rails and tiled floors.
There is free WiFi accessable from all of the bedrooms.
Finally, there is free parking available on the drive.
ROOMS:
We have 5 rooms; 2 at the front that can be set up as super king size double (6ft wide bed) or as a twin.
The 2 at the back are doubles with a king size bed (5ft wide) and lastly, a single.
All of the rooms have spacious en suite's with low profile walk in showers, heated towel rail and tiled floors.
There is bottled mineral water and biscuits with the tea/coffee tray. For those of you who like fresh milk in your tea/coffee there is a supply of it in the fridge in the dining room, so help yourselves.
DINING ROOM:
At the front of the house on the ground floor is where we serve breakfast. Each room has their own table with plenty of space. As mentioned above there is the fridge in here for any one who would like to use it to chill their wine or store some bits for a picnic.
PARKING:
You can park on the drive or leave your car in front of the house, on the road. There is plenty of space and no charges, unlike most of the other B&B's.
THINGS TO DO:
If you have been before then you will know your way around the area. But for the rest, don't worry. Although we are a small village, there is plenty to do surounding us - from the sea, the award winning beaches, the hills, woods and waterfalls to name but a few.
For those who want to shop, you will find a mix of shops to suit most, but if it's Marks and Spencer, your out of luck.
In your room, and in the breakfast room you will find folders with maps, walks, drives and other sugestions of things to do and see. If in doubt, then ask.
