Description:
The Camelot Hotel is a 18 bedroom 2* Family run Hotel on Plymouth Hoe. We are a 30 second walk from the Hoe promenade and a mere 3 minute walk from the City Centre, Theatres, Pavilions, bars and restaurants. The lovely Barbican is only a 5 minute walk away.
All rooms are ensuite with TV, tea and coffee making facilities, there is free wifi in all rooms. There are ironing boards in all double and family rooms. Irons and hairdryers are available from reception.
We have a licensed bar and a TV/ pool room. If needed you may retrieve your emails from reception. You an also use the fax machine at a minimal charge.
We also have a roof garden on the first floor where you can relax and read a book.
Children and dogs are most welcome. All soft drinks are free for children for the duration of your stay. Please ask at reception or the bar. We can offer a dog sitting service where your pet will be played with, monitored and walked in the local park.
A child minding service is also available (notice required) by a qualified primary school teacher who is with us for the duration of 2007, and most probably much longer. For this service children and their parents will need to be photographed. Your child will never be left alone.
We aim to make your stay as pleasant as possible and if you need anything doing and we can do it, we will. If you need an early check in please ask, if we can, we will. If not you are welcome to drop off your bags or wait in the bar with a coffee. Late check outs are sometimes also available. If you are coming by cycle, we can store it for you.
Vegetarians are catered for, with notice we can prepare you something fresh and interesting. Evening dinners are catered for also, most meals are prepared fresh as we shop daily in our local market and the local butchers.
Parking is on street and is free from 6pm to 10am, or if you park on the bend at the top of the street it is free from 4pm to 10am. Also daily parking permits can be bought from reception for £3 which allows you to come and go as you please.
Plymouth is a lovely place and most sights can be reached on foot, there is more to see and do than you think, also we are only a 15 minute drive from Dartmoor National park and we are a 3 minute drive to the ferry terminal that takes you to France.
You will feel most WELCOME at the Camelot Hotel and Plymouth; we hope to see you soon.
Directions:
From A38 (Devon Expressway) take the Plymouth turn at Marsh Mills and head for the City centre.
At the first roundabout, turn left (still heading for City centre). Continue for about 250 metres then turn left at the first set of traffic lights.
Continue on this road then turn left at the mini-roundabout. Proceed for about ¼ mile then turn left into Athenaeum Street at the third set of traffic lights, where a large pub called The Walrus is located. At the top of this street is the junction where straight ahead is Elliot Street. You will find us at number 5, next door to the Thai Palace restaurant.
