Description:
The Victorians knew how to make themselves comfortable - and Victorian standards of comfort and decor, but with all 'mod cons' have been recreated in a small hotel on the hills above Hastings Old Town, the premier cinque port of Sussex and Kent.
You can get a real taste of yesteryear at Bryn-y-mor, and be very comfortable. The bedrooms, which have local names, are ornately furnished and all contain:Historic four-poster beds with lots of lace trimmings, tea/coffee trays, colour television, comfortable chairs and excellent mattresses.
Breakfast in the chandelier-hung dining room is a choice of full English breakfast or hot croissants and conserves on fine china, whilst piping-hot fresh coffee is served from a Georgian Silver pot. We regret that lunch and dinner is no longer available, B&B only, many excellent restaurants nearby.
Outdoors there are beautiful, landscaped terraced gardens which are a particular feature of Bryn-y-mor and give an immense sense of peace and tranquility. Each area of the garden creates a completely different picture. The new pergola rose garden, created in the autumn of 1993 is especially beautiful, creating a secret garden. If you are a garden lover, do not miss a visit to Bryn-y-mor.
