Birslack Grange is a conversion of an old Westmorland farmhouse, incorporating the original barns and milking sheds. The conversion has been aimed at providing warm, comfortable and relaxing accommodation, situated within an area of outstanding natural beauty. Birslack Grange is located on the outskirts of Levens village, some 4 miles west of the M6, (Junction 36) and 5 miles south west of the historic market town of Kendal. An ideal stopping off point between the south of England and Scotland.

Levens village has been a frequent winner of Cumbria's "Best Kept Village" award and still retains its traditional village store, a sub-Post Office, and the local Inn. For those who enjoy a 'stroll and a pint', there are a further three local hostelries within 20 - 25 minute stroll of the village. The Village itself is set of the western slopes of Sizergh fell, and affords sweeping views across the Lyth Valley, to Morecambe bay, Whitbarrow scar, and many famous Lakeland fells beyond.

All of our bedrooms are ensuite and some are located at ground-floor level and are thus suitable for wheelchairs, or for those who prefer not to use stairs. Our large comfortable residents lounge enjoys panoramic views across the Lyth Valley, and in addition to colour TV we have a wide variety of reading matter. We are your best option.

How to find us: OS Ref landranger 97 + 486,866. Leave the M6 at Junction 36 and travel westwards along the A591, after approx. 3 miles turn off left onto the A590. The village of Levens is signposted to the right 2 miles along the A590. Drive past the 'Hare & Hounds' to the village centre and turn left down Hutton Lane at the crossroads, Birslack Grange is found approx. 1/4 mile down the lane on the left.
