Betty and Tony have run this B&B personally since 1993. Hundreds of satisfied guests say we have thought of everything. The lush lawns and professionally landscaped limestone terraces front on the water. These were newly landscaped in 2005 and 2006.There is a safe sheltered dock for your boats, which you may use for fishing and swimming.
The dappled sunshine on the lawn and lawn furniture beside the water tempts you to share a bottle of wine and order in food at the patio table.
There are a choice of three suites. All have either recently replaced comfortable king, queen or twin beds. The linen and towels are plentiful and of an excellent quality. All the window dressings are room darkening for a non-disturbed sleep. Each room has a cable DVD/TV and has wireless internet. There is a dedicated guest computer for guest convenience. The house is quiet as is the neighbourhood. We are on town water and sewers and have plenty of hot water with excellent pressure. All our taps are scald guarded and there are no fluctuations in temperature.
The breakfast is beautifully presented on Wedgwood Hathaway Rose China - choose daily from an unequalled ten hot item breakfast menu plus many extras.
There is a Chocolate Labrador, Bailey, to play with or walk. She does not go on furniture, into bedrooms or dining room.
We supply complimentary CHOCOLATE CAKE, cookies, snacks and beverages for guests’ enjoyment. Our home offers many of the features of a resort, plus Betty and Tony’s special hospitality.
The Library is on the main floor, it is a guest sitting room with cable TV, VCR and DVD player. There is a cordless phone you may take to your room or use the Library one. Local calls are free. The Library was refurnished in the Fall of 2005 and has comfortable furniture with recliners. There is a fairly extensive selection of movies for your enjoyment, either in your room or here in the library. The great Room which overlooks the gardens and the water is also for your use, but there is no TV in there.
Swim in nearby Tudhope Park, or a stroll beside the lake.
