Description:
Beera is a large traditional Victorian farmhouse built in the 1840’s set in the heart of the Tamar Valley, a designated area of outstanding natural beauty in Devon. The farm is part of the Hardicot Estate consisting of some 3000 acres and was once owned by the Duke of Bedford.
Situated on the farm is the Duke of Bedford's Drive which was the track that mostly followed the river from Morwellham Quay (the tidal limit of the river) to Endsleigh House the Dukes country retreat. On one occasion he was joined by Queen Victoria for a weekend break. A warm welcome awaits your arrival as does a freshly baked cream tea served in the lounge or garden.
The lounge has extensive views over the garden and countryside. You can play the piano, listen to music, watch TV, play board games whilst sitting beside a cosy log fire to warm you up on those cold winter nights.
The breakfast room has seperate dining tables, views over the garden and countryside. Special diets can be catered for on request.
All the rooms have en-suite facilities consisting of a wash basin, toilet and power shower. A colour TV, tea/coffee tray, hairdryer, shoe cleaning facilities, toiletries, towels, bathrobes, sewing kit, heaters and blankets for cooler nights.
