Description:
Worthing has a lot to offer its visitors, nestling at the foot of the South Downs. It is the largest town in West Sussex boasting five glorious miles of beach. The mainly flat and pedestrianised shopping centre, located directly behind the main promenade houses all the major high street names. There are many lovely parks and gardens, two theatres and cinemas to enjoy, all within easy reach of the town centre. There is plenty to occupy the little ones at the "Aquarena" an indoor swimming pool and outdoor paddling pool which is open throughout the summer season plus an outdoor children's adventure playground located behind the town hall.

For the more energetic visitor, tennis courts, horse riding, windsurfing, country walks, gardens and cycle routes can all be found close by. The English National Bowls Tournament is held in the beautiful Beach House Park every August, where visitors can watch or play on these superb greens.

To the east of Worthing is the City of Brighton and Hove which is well worth a visit (twenty minute drive away). This busy cosmopolitan City is home to the impressive Royal Pavilion, Palace Pier and The Lanes, also there are many Theatres and Arts Centers. To the west of Worthing are Arundel Castle, Chichester, Portsmouth and Southampton, London and Gatwick can easily be reached by train.

Beechwood Hall has all the benefits of being centrally placed whilst retaining the ambience of a Country House. This imposing building is set back off the A259, a five minute walk from Worthing's town centre and the local entertainments and amenities. Secluded by trees it has plenty off road parking including room for a coach. It is the ideal place to relax following a busy day whether on business or simply for pleasure.

The Hall is a wonderful old house that is in need of a lot of money spending on it. The sheets and towels were pristine and the accomadation adequate. There were window panes missing and boarded up, holes in the walls and windows with no latches to fasten them with, not good when you are staying with cats that need to be secure. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful stay but didnt eat in as the menu was very basic. We would stay again for a cat show but wouldnt choose it for a holiday.
