Description:
Welcome to Beech House Guest Accommodation – our lovingly restored Victorian Town House has been refurbished to combine original features with modern amenities giving the interior an elegant yet fresh contemporary feel. We are situated just a 6-7 minute walk from the city on a residential tree lined street allowing you to return to a relaxed atmosphere.
Beech House is able to offer many features of a larger hotel but with a personal touch. These include use of a computer with internet access, chilled Champagne, hand made chocolate or flower from Interflora.
A guest lounge is available to relax with a book or watch television with a variety of DVD's. A selection of beers, wines and spirits can be enjoyed as we also have a drinks licence.
Our breakfast has been described by the Hotel Inspector as ‘one of the best for choice in her 16 years experience’. Many of our guests compliment us on our breakfast which also caters for vegetarians/ vegans and those who may have specialist requirements.
Our breakfast bar has a range of fresh produce local to Yorkshire.
We are committed to making your stay at Beech House as enjoyable as possible. We are always egar to share our knowledge of York and the surrounding area and can help you plan an itinerary with you to help you get the most out of your stay.
Many of our guests look for a property with character and not a hotel or other purpose built building which often lacks warmth and style. Beech House is fortunate to be able to offer this and dates back to 1891.
All rooms are individually decorated to make you feel special.
If you are looking for a break from young family, some quality time with your children who have grown up and left home or need to be away for work then Beech House is for you.
We have had many couples stay for their honeymoon and anniversary and those returning to York after leaving University.
Being close to town we are also ideal for those who may be less able to get around.

We had a very enjoyable stay. The breakfast was first class and both our hosts were sociable. Our only let-down was being in a room at the back of the house, however as we were only staying for two nights it was ok.

Beech House Hotel is extremely comfortable and is very conveniently placed for York. Parking is a bit of a problem but was well-managed by the manager. The breakfast was very generous and there was a great choice. The cost was very reasonable too.

Very nicely decorated. The couple who own it were lovely and friendly. Loads of selections for breakfast (including fresh fruit) and also teas & coffees supplied
in the bedroom. Overall really enjoyed our stay and would definetly stop over again. If you are doing the tourist thing though, I'd advise getting a york pass, it's brilliant!!
