Description:
Comfortable, attractive central Abingdon bed and breakfast accommodation in 2 historic houses in East Saint Helen Street, described in Pevsner’s Architectural Guide as one of the most interesting streets in England. The atmosphere is informal and friendly.
The houses and bedrooms have character and charm and one has a garden reaching the River Thames.
Although in the town centre the street is quiet with ready access to riverside walks, restaurants, shops and a frequent express bus service to Oxford.
Children are welcome. No smoking. No pets apart from guide dogs.
There is a range of single, double, twin and one family room. Only two have ensuite facilities, although there are plenty of bathrooms. Several have access to cooking facilities and there is one small self contained flat.
For breakfasts the ingredients are organic, fair trade and locally sourced where possible and include homemade muesli, bread, marmalade, fresh fruit, yoghurt.
Light cooked breakfasts such as scrambled eggs with ham/herbs and mushrooms are served. (No fry ups).
