Description:
A warm welcome awaits you from Sandra and Colin, at Bay House Lake View, which is a traditional Lakeland Stone guest house in the heart of the English Lake District, enjoying a fabulous lakeside location in the old village of Bowness-on-Windermere which nestles picturesquely on the shores of Lake Windermere.
We are only a minute's walk from the many varied shops, bars and restaurants. The famous Beatrix Potter Museum is two minutes away, as is the Bowness Pier, where you can enjoy a leisurely cruise on the Lake.
We offer excellent accommodation with a full English breakfast to set you up for the day.
At the Bay, we have five double and one family three room, all of which are en-suite and tastefully decorated in keeping with the age and character of the property, built in 1860. Four of our six rooms also have scenic views of the Lake, which is a stone’s throw away.
Bowness-on-Windermere is an ideal centre for touring the breathtaking scenery of the beautiful Lake District, with Ambleside, Coniston, Hawkshead, Grasmere and Keswick within easy travelling distance.
Please come down to the house where a drop off point is available in the lane, a parking permit is given upon arrival for use during your stay ( £20 refundable deposit required).
