Description:
Andy and Ros welcome you to Bath and their home. Highways House is a large and elegant Victorian house, built in 1874 using the beautiful Bath stone. We have off street parking, accessible off the Wells Road (A367), which is a ten minute walk into the city centre, making it ideal to leave the car while you go off sightseeing. Bath Spa rail and bus stations are ten minutes walk away. Highways house has five beautifully decorated Double and twin bed rooms, all with fully equipped en suite bathrooms with either shower or shower and bath. Two bedrooms have Kingsize and Queen size beds for guests extra comfort, and we can comfortably accommodate Triples or parents plus one child - please just ask! Single occupancy of a double or twin room can be arranged. One double room on the ground floor is accessible to wheelchair users, after one step into the house.
A guests lounge, furnished with spacious easy chairs, fine antiques, and with a sunset view over Bath, is provided for your comfort. In the breakfast room you can choose from a range that includes full English breakfast and select your favourite start to the day from fresh fruit salad, cereals, home made jams and marmalades, and of course vegetarian tastes are fully catered for. Tea, coffee and toast are unlimited.
We have information on how to plan your time in Bath, with details of places to see what's on in this busy centre of cosmopolitan culture and sport, with its museums and festivals. A wonderful shopping centre has some unique shops, and we can help you choose where to eat in a town with over a hundred excellent restaurants and pubs serving food. Our guests lounge is a good place to plan your stay, meet your hosts and other guests, or watch the sunset over the city.
