Description:
Ian and Carolyn invite you to relax at Barnabas House, a gracious Edwardian residence, tucked away in a peaceful Dartmoor location. We offer very comfortable bed and breakfast accommodation, most rooms en-suite with great views over the moor, fabulous food and friendly hosts. Both leisure and business travellers most welcome.
Guest rooms at Barnabas House are spacious and centrally heated with comfortable beds, colour TV/DVD and Freeview, hospitality tray and complimentary toiletries. Some rooms also have silent running refrigerators. Our ground floor en-suite double with its own private patio is a particular favourite for our less mobile guests or those who like a little more luxury. Our super spacious elegant family room for up to five has its own single bedroom off the main room, ideal for tucking up the little 'un before settling down on the sofa to watch the beautiful Dartmoor sunset.
Our beautiful double en-suite on the second floor is quiet, romantic and very comfortable, ideal for unwinding after the stresses of the working week. And don't forget the family room with lovely en-suite bath and shower, great for soaking away the day.
Work or play, get your day off to a great start with a full English or continental breakfast using fresh local produce, served in our breakfast room or on the patio if weather permits. Vegetarian options are available and special diets can be catered for by arrangement. Specially prepared packed lunches can be arranged as well as light lunches / afternoon tea from our tea rooms. Home-cooked evening meals usually available on request starting at £12.95 for 2 courses including tea/coffee.
If you're coming for an activity holiday, we have secure cycle storage, and drying facilities for walking and cycling equipment. If you're blogging as you go, why not take advantage of the free wireless internet access to keep up to date.
In October 2009, (April, September and October 2010) we are running our exciting "Unseen Dartmoor" digital photography course. That's guided walking in secret locations on the moor, photography tuition and the chance for some super images, only £235 per person, all meals included.
Prices are per night for the room and include full English breakfast. Special offers may be available on our website www.barnabas-house.co.uk
