The Bala Lake Hotel is a two hundred year old listed building in a beautiful lakeside location just outside the small Welsh-speaking market town of Bala. In the main building there are 2 bedrooms and one ground floor suite adapted for people with disabilities.
Outside steps set into the landscaped hillside lead to 17 double/twin en-suite bedrooms in modern adjacent buildings. The large Lounge has spectacular views over Lake Bala and towards the mountains of Snowdonia. The Bar Lounge is fully licensed. The hotel is non-smoking in all the rooms.
The hotel has 29 acres of woodland and pasture and a terrace with extensive views of the lake and the mountains of Snowdonia.
There is an outdoor-unheated swimming pool.Nearby is the narrow-gauge Bala Lake Railway, the National White Water Centre, sailing, canoeing, fishing, horse-riding, golf, ten-pin bowling, a leisure centre with heated pool and a cinema. In the Snowdonia area are rock climbing, pony trekking, mountain biking, clay pigeon shooting, quad biking, a high ropes course, slate mines and the Centre for Alternative Technology. The North Wales Coast is within easy reach.
The hotel is an ideal venue for reunions, house parties, retreats and conferences. Come for a winter breaks with log fires, warmth, comfort and good food.
