Paul and Julie are particularly proud of the quality of their traditional English breakfasts with locally sourced ingredients, from fresh outdoor-reared pork sausages, rashers of locally cured bacon and free range Yorkshire eggs, to freshly baked croissants. Ashbourne House is registered with and classified as 4 Diamonds by the English Tourist Council and 4 Star by the AA. The high standards maintained have been recognised with a Silver Award from the English Tourism Council. Off-street car parking is provided and guests may leave their cars in the car park whilst visiting the city of York. The centre of York is a pleasant 15 minute riverside stroll away, and for those who wish to conserve their energy for sightseeing, there is a frequent bus service into the city centre.

We have 8 guest rooms, 7 of them are en-suite. The 8th room having a private bathroom. Two of the guest rooms have baths. All rooms are spotlessly clean and tidy and have tea and coffee facilities, television, trouser press, direct dial telephone and Wi-Fi internet access.

DIRECTIONS
If travelling North on the M1 – at junction 48 change from M1 onto the A1(M). Follow the A1(M) for approximately 1.5 miles.
Leave A1(M) A1(M) J45 signposted York, A64. Take the right hand lane of the slip road.
Follow the A64 for approximately 8 miles (total distance). You will pass John Smiths Brewery at Tadcaster on your left hand side and shortly afterwards a service station again on the left. Pass the exit for the A1237. Continue along the A64. After you cross the River Ouse, stay in the left hand lane. You will need to take the next exit, signposted A19 – York (Centre) and Selby. This exit is also the exit for the York Designer Outlet, McArther Glen.
At the roundabout take the first exit, signposted A19 York. (Approximately ¾ of a mile to go). You will now pass through the village of Fulford. At the first set of traffic lights – go straight across. Past St Oswalds church on your right. Continue along Fulford Road, you are now entering into York. At the next set of traffic lights (Crossroads, Broadway and Broadway West to your right and left) go straight across. Ashbourne House is about 200 yards further down on the right hand side.
