Description:
Arbutus Guest House was originally the Clapham village Vicarage until it was tastefully converted into a guesthouse in 1985. It was built in 1835, and is an excellent example of Georgian architecture. Clapham is one of the prettiest villages in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. An oasis of peace and tranquility, and within easy walking distance of the majestic Ingleborough, with cottages set either side of Clapham beck.
We are set in a delightful riverside location in the village of
Clapham, North Yorkshire, UK and ideally located in one of the most beautiful parts of the Yorkshire Dales National Park,
and within 30 minutes' drive of the Lake District. Wide choice of breakfasts available, and large well-appointed en-suite rooms.
We are situated in the heart of the village, two minutes' walk to the local Inn and shops. All around is lovely scenery, ideal for walkers of all abilities. The Nature Trail leads to Ingleborough show cave and the peak, one of several walks from our doorstep. Clapham beck runs just outside the house, surrounded by mature trees, and wild birds abound.
The bedrooms are all well proportioned and the comfortable residents lounge with roaring log fire are a "welcome to the eyes", after a day out walking or just exploring the locality. We even have an efficient drying room. The house benefits from full central heating, and all of the bedrooms have en suite facilities. A wide variety of breakfasts are available which would satisfy the heartiest of appetites.
