Description:
Alcombe House is a small Georgian hotel of great charm awarded two stars with a silver award by the English Tourism Council for quality and presentation. Built by the Luttrell family of nearby Dunster Castle in 1780, this grade 2 listed building is ideally situated for exploring the medieval village of Dunster and the coastal town of Minehead.
The hotel’s bedrooms are spacious and tastefully appointed for our guests every comfort. We have five double bedded and two twin bedded rooms, all with full en-suite facilities such as full en-suite facilities, tea and coffee facilities, neutrogena TM luxury toiletries, fresh flowers, colour television, clock radio, hair dryer, guests ironing centre situated in the cloakroom. We regret the hotel is unsuitable for children.
As a backdrop to the hotel, Exmoor National Park offers many diverse walks. Indeed, from the hotel it is possible to enjoy walks along coastal, moorland and woodland tracks. Exmoor National Park boasts picturesque villages and hamlets, many of which have not changed in centuries. Roam around these villages and admire the thatched cottages or visit National Trust properties and beautiful gardens of this very special part of England, which you may have thought no longer exists.
