Description:
The Albion Hotel offers its hospitality in a handsome accomodation in Ypres ( Ieper ), a city in Flanders ( Belgium ). The rebuilt step gable refers to the original Flemish Renaissance building.
In the very heart of the World War 1 battlefields, at 200 m from Sir Reginald Blomfield 's famous Menin Gate and the ramparts of the Marquis de Vauban, close to the busy Market Square and the In Flanders Fields Museum (Cloth Hall), the peaceful Albion Hotel offers the quiet you deserve.
A city at the foot of the West Flemish hill side, half an hour's drive from the sandy beaches and only one hour away from gems like Bruges ( Brugge ), Ghent ( Gent ) and lively Lille ( Rijsel ). A hospitable paradise in St James' Street (St.-Jacobsstraat) for the pilgrim to Compostela and for the pleasure-lover as well. A cocoon for the poet and the reader, for the hiker and the biker.

Enjoyed my stay very much. Hotel is immaculate. Breakfast excellent. Location is perfect. Wish they would put instructions in the bathroom about how to use the shower attachment. I couldn't figure it out after 20 minutes. I called the desk and they quickly explained it. It's not obvious to an American not familiar with that type of bathroom fixture.

Very pleasant stay, staff were very helpful and courteous. limited parking if travelling by car, but more than adequate for us as we were on motorcycles. Good location, close to the main square and the Menin Gate....

Excllent location. Comfy & clean. Staff were all exceptionally friendly & helpful. Nice bar/lounge area and a decent breakfast. Very helpful with where to visit/eat. Stayed in room 205, a corner room, very large, lacked a little charm & character but had everything you would expect for the price. I would stay here again

A very good location in the centre of town and a very friendly welcome. The decor generally was excellent and the bedroom spacious (we had three single beds). All the food at the continental buffet breakfast was very fresh and the service was excellent. Infomration was available on the town and surrounding areas. We would definitely return.
