For history buffs there are several museums, movie sets, state parks including Columbia State Historic Park, Railtown 1897 State Park and Big Trees State Park just a few miles away. Wine connoisseurs will enjoy the many wine tasting rooms offered in this rich wine producing region. Tuolumne County is also proud to have three live theaters showcasing unforgettable performances year round.
You will love our nine award-winning restored hotel rooms, each with wonderful brass beds, lace curtains, fresh flowers and a private bathroom. Each room is charmingly authentic, individually appointed and includes most of the original furnishings, not to mention FLO, our longtime resident ghost. A soaking room (our 1850’s version of the spa – 2 person ball and claw brass footed center fill tub with brass fixtures too) with all the amenities is also provided for our guests convenience and pleasure. Air conditioning, heating, and cable TV’s are available upon request. Our wonderful balcony overlooking the town is accessible to all of our guests and is a perfect place to relax with a favorite beverage and a good book. A certified masseuse is available (with advance arrangements) to our guests and several health spas are near as well. Guests start the day with a sumptuous breakfast buffet served each day in our dining room. The buffet includes homemade breads, fresh fruit, sliced melons, assorted cereals, juices, hard-boiled eggs, toast, jellies, fresh brewed coffees, teas and the morning paper.
Dining in our acclaimed restaurant is a gourmet's delight. We enjoy a “three star rating” and an atmosphere appropriate for any occasion.
