Circa 1840-1860's, this peaceful, easy feeling country inn is a typical middle-class clapboard with "gingerbready" front porch. Located only one block from restored Whitewater Canal. Enjoy a hearty breakfast before exploring over 100 shoppes, galleries and museums in this quaint historic village, listed on the National Register.
Family-style dining room is open to the public, daily for lunch. A breakfast buffet is served weekends and holidays. Thorpe House was named a "favorite down home breakfast spot" by readers of "Midwest Living" magazine! Our country casual guest rooms are located upstairs. All rooms have private baths and are individually furnished. We have 3 rooms with double beds, 1 room with twin beds or a king bed and a two-room Suite.
For your relaxation, there are no in-room phones, television, radio or alarm clocks. However, telephones and satellite TV are available downstairs for guest use. Accommodations include complementary beverages and ice, homemade desserts and evening snacks, plus a full breakfast. Private parking is provided during your stay.
